central locking -vauxhall astra 1.4 ?

Has anyone experience problems with the central locking - The nearside rear door will not open with handle when door is unlocked but will open from the inside when the door is locked. Works fine if the car has not been locked? Any ideas. Tried new locking mechanism, but just the same.
