how can I fix my Brother sewing machine ES2020?

my machine stops with a bang and I cant turn the handwheel at all backwards or forward, any suggestions

Hello Carys,
I would take out the bobbin case and raceway if possib le and have a good look for anything jammed, failing that you need to check the bottom gear under the raceway for any splits.
