If you know how to open it, open it then , open the disk drive (the bit that you put your discs in) then get a magnifieng glass and look at the laser(it looks like a little eye).if it is the laser you can either send it back to Sony or if you want to risk it buy a new laser and then replace it..... take it out put the new one in.Then if that doesnt work i dont have any idea what it could be.Hope this helps.
