engine warning light on/ black smoke mis fire?

i have a xantia 1.9td delux 99 plate just started vehicle engine warning light staying on miss fire
and black smoke from exhaust have you had this problem could you give me any advice.

Sounds like you have a fuel to air ratio problem

Try fitting a new air filter, if the problem persistes get a mechanic to clean the injectors
