worcester bosch 28i combi , preasure problem?

I have no visible leaks in my system
I have injected a furnox leak sealer so as to make sure also
But i still have to refill my system on a regular basis , this i have no problem with as it is so quick and easy.
But will this damage my boiler in time , ie the air in the system,
w/b have been out and said add leak sealer and it should be ok,
could it be i have to vent air from the h/exc also ?
PLEASE HELP

Although you have no leaks inside, do you have any outside ?

I had a similar problem where the presure relief valve was leaking, this is connected to a safety discharge pipe that exits through a wall and used the empty boiler too.

This may not apply to all boilers though, but mine was leaking from the discharge pipe. Had to refill it about once a week.

I was lucky that it had not gone, I emptied the system a few times and this cleared the problem, maybe there was dirt or something in the valve.

Keeping figners crossed.

Hi Dave
So your pipes are under the floor boards - are you on the ground floor? If you are not then you will see staining on the ceiling of the floor below if the leak is constant. There is another situation when the pipework is plastic (not pex) and does not have an oxygenation barrier where oxygen can be drawn into the system. In addition if the pump is on the return pipework to the boiler it can suck in air with negative pressure. the opposite to a leak with positive pressure. The other thing is I could be going in the wrong direction based on assumptions being made about your system.

if you loss pressure over a week or so then it will be very hard to find and if you are on the ground floor it could leak into the ground undetected. leaks are often on the compression joints to the rads, boiler, etc...
