HP Pavillion, Fan died & hard drive clicks?

Can I replace a fan module in my laptop? I think mine isn't working anymore and my unit gets pretty hot. I have to keep it propped up all the time. I've hardly used it.

Also, I get a loud click, click, grind, grind. And wonder if the hard drive is going? This is 3 yr old, but only used maybe 40 times.

Is it difficult to change components, would like to get faster processer and bigger hard drive.
Thanks!

i doubt your hard drives failing, but if it is,its a relatively inexpensive upgrade, your processor ,is a different story!your Talking a few bucks there!you didnt specify, your processor speed?youd be better off to just buy another laptop, because upgrading processors is not simple or cheap!

I am also struggling to open an HP PAvillion N5545 to change the drive. Try here:
