ive put new belt on idesit dryer bt drum wont turn and i can smell burning?

i have replaced snapped belt and it is all on correctly but when i put the dryer on the drum isnt turning and i can smell burning

then the belt is not on correctly,or the drum would turn,check you have placed it around the jocky pully and motor pully the right way
