The fire has (or should have a two heat setting). When I set the high heat the fire cuts out after about 10 minutes. The lower setting works OK. There is no thermostat as such but there must be a thermal cut-out which is not open to me to inspect. Is this the problem?

put both elements on and look up into canopy,are the elements glowing,if so the fan is going too slow,if not its the safety cut out built into the element.either way the whole canopy has to be replaced because thats how they are sold as a complete unit
