i have a hotpoint wf865 washing machine and infrequently i have a leak from under the front left side. im puzzled why i get it. have stopped using powder and fab conditioner and use in the drum detergent. any clues on the problem????

there is large flexible pipe from soap dispenser to the drum, when there is a certain weight in your M/C it will open the split to allow water to escape. take the pipe off and check. While you are at it, check the drum to pump pipe as well. maybe cost of each pipe circa £5/£6 better than cost of new m/c.
