Why does my Kenwood dishwasher not fill with water?

My Kenwood dishwasher KDW234A will not fill with water. The valve is open to allow water in but it still does not fill. Apparently it can be something to do with the float valve but I do not know where the float valve is situated.

It does fill but stops early . Should I see water inside if I open the door or is it too low to see??
