Jackson/Creda 28114 Canterbury electric fan assisted main oven fails to heat up.Clock works,oven is not on auto, and interior oven light can be switched on OK.Heating light does not come on for main oven,but does for smaller oven/grill, both of which work OK.
Tested element in main oven with an avo and got a resistance(indicating element circuit OK). Element was new in Jan'07,but cooker is 10+ years old.
How do I test the thermostat please? Any help would be appreciated-thanks.

the only way to test it is to remove it and check it with a test meter,when you turn it on and off you should hear a click,if you dont,then its gone
