Can my Janome mc 4000 be saved?

my daughter used the machine for a "quick repair"

When i went back to sew, there was a mass of tangled thred

i cleaned it up, cleaned bobbin area, changed the needle, rethreaded everthing

when i turned the machine back on, it initially produced clumping thread

i rethreaded, then the machine hummed when i turned it on,when i pushed needle up/down, it beeped, any hope for my poor baby?

Thank you for your help, as I had gone thru the cleaning process, etc, when I cleaned out the sewing room, the foot pedal plug was under, not in the machine, i feel like such a dork.
Taught me a lesson tho, when you stress out, you overlook the obvious.

Hello Arlene,
From what it sounds there may be a piece of thread stuck right round the bobbin case area, you will need to look ver carefully, turn the balance wheel backwards and it may free off, make sure the presser foot is up when you thread the machine.
