What is the best way to remove wallpaper paste off newly hung wallpaper?

it may not now be possible.... you could try warm water even with a litle fairy liquid in an area behind the soafa for starters, dont wash too hard, but my advise is to remove the excess adhesive at the time of hanging, be prepared to sspend time doing this, and use clean fresh water as you go.

You might want to spray any stubborn spots with water first, then leave to soften for a few minutes. Then a damp sponge should do it. Gently!!
