Diplomat APL1304 - 2 small cooking zones ?

Diplomat APL1304 - 2 small cooking zones stay on for 2 minutes then turn off and don't come back on. Is this a regulator/thermostat problem rather than wiring fault? Does anyone have deatiled iinstructions to replace regulator?
