Dishwasher was early in its cycle when the machine went off. Checked the mains power, including the fuse - All were good. What's the problem with it?. Is there an internal fuse, and if so how do I get to it?

I've discovered by removing the top screws from he inside of the dishwasher, the front panel module can be removed, and it is this that appears to be faulty. However, the guy from the service centre said a replacement module is about £120-130. Isn't this a bit expensive?. What can go wrong with those modules?.
