My Mondeo is 2007 Ghia with automatic gearbox that needs replacing after le?

Have bought a new gearbox on Ford's recommendation but the car is still not going well. Anyone else out there with same problem ? I am trying to see if it is a factory fault as I see another same model in the workshop with transmission problem.

It is a 4 speed which does not change to 2 - goes straight from 1 to 3 and cannot get to 4.

Is it a 4 speed CD4E or a 5 speed JF506E? What problems are you having?
