We have 5 Ariel points in the house and we would ideally like to fit a 6th and final one. We have a splitter in the loft. How do we fix an additional Ariel point and if so will this effect our reception. We do not want to call out an engineer unless really necessary as it is a case of being nice to have rather than need to have. any advise would greatly appreciated.

If you don't have spare socket on splitter then buy a small twin outlet splitter. remove one of the existing aerials and fit the small twin splitter in its place, fit the existing aerial cable to one small splitter outlet and the new to the other, neither will effect other tv I've just done the same all 5 tvs work fine I'll be adding a sixth one next month.
