need capacitor ?

need capacitor for craftsman table saw model 113-295750c possible 1986 sears could not find it, but sent me a 138 mfd which only lasted a week, possible I need at least 150 mfd help

thank you for your advice, will purchase a new 150 capacitor, and see if it works.

Any size close to the original specification will do - capacitors often have a tolerance variation of as much as 20% so 138mFd versus 150 mFd hardly matters.

There are two other ratings - temperature and Voltage - in a saw you can very probably ignore temperature but if in doubt about the capacitor specification look for the same or higher voltage rating - the voltage spikes the capacitor can withstand before destroying itself.

Hobby electronic shops sell capacitors - quite inexpensive.
