Hi there, im a retired ex brown goods and white goods engineer.
However i am flumoxed as to where to start with my dead Hotpoint TCL 770G tumbledryer, ind code 95545700000. Its two year old and it is total dead, with all the lights flashing on front panel, like fairy lights.
I have taken back panel off, no blockages etc, filters clean, but there is no action.
I have no idea what is wrong with this, but with being in the electronic consumer repair trade for over 35 years, i may or should be able to solve this thru logical faultfinding if pointed in the right direction.
All help and advice would be appreciated..ps i have no service manual. Thanks tony

I don't know what the answer is Tony but i have exactly the same model, 20 months old doing exactly the same thing today, it was working fine yesterday, today fairy lights and no action!
Had a look at the back to see if its the belt (assumed not electrical due to flashing lights) not the case.
It will be interesting to see what the answer is (if any) so will watch this post with interest.
Having lost my job last month and struggling with bills i don't want to call someone out only to be told it's terminal, but if it's an easy fix then will try and get it sorted.
