hi,im guessing the handle lifts up ok when its open and you can turn key ok . your door may be a bit out of line with the locking pins, if its standard upvc door u could remove keeps from latching side of frame 1by 1 and then try and lock door. once the out of align keep is removed the door should lift up and lock, trial and error process. or could be that door lock as broken or come apart on length somewhere.
