kenmore washing machine will wash but will not drain or spin.....could it be the lid switch needs replacing?

hi ,could be a switch fault ! its a good idea to make sure your washing machines filter / filter housing/pump impeller are all free of obstruction etc. before ordering any parts. hope this helps.
