I HAVE A GE MICROWAVE THAT DOESNT WORK AT ALL DEAD!
ITS A SPACEMAKER 1800 XL . IT IS ALMOST TWO YEARS OLD.
WORK FINE ONE DAY AND THE NEXT MORNING DIDNT WORK.

Be very careful of a tinkering with Microwaves. They have large value capacitors which CAN remain charged even if turned off. At least six engineers have been killed repairing microwaves. I would check the plug fuse and go no further. I mean no disrespect but particularly as you are asking such a generalised basic question leave it to an expert.
