u.p.v.c. window repair?

small open window broken top of stairs is it hard to take out and replace

Not difficult Frank. Is it internally or externally beaded? If external, prise the INSIDE wedge gasket out, go outside and gently push the sealed unit in towards the house -this will allow the beads to release. Use a stiff scraper and start with the longest beads first, then the two shorter ones. Refitting is reversal of this.
If internally beaded, just go from prising the beads out (no wedge gasket to worry about) Refit beads with nylon mallet or suitably soft hammer. Good luck. Kev at KL Plastics
