i have a vaux signum 04 plate and recently the power steering has gone quite heavy been told it,s the alternator or relay can u help

Excessive fy stiff steering: 1.lack of fluid in power steering fluid reservoir. 2.incorrect tire pressures. 3.front end out of alignment. ITs not the alternator or the relay, i had this problem. the cause was lack of fluid in the power steering fiuid reservoir.
