Serious vibration at 70mph?

Hi I have a Peugeot 406 Hdi 90 I have just replaced three tyres on the vehicle and had the balance and wheel alignment done. I have taken my wheels to three different garages and I cannot get rid of the vibration at 70mph. I am beginning to wonder if this is a more serious fault than the actual wheels. Has anyone had a similar experience any advice would be greatly received

I had exactly the same problem ..... try getting the front wheel "droplinks" checked and replaced if necessary. My problem vanished once done!

I have a similar problem with my mazda 626 and i'm sure it is the balljoint.

My balljoint was worn. After 70 mph, car drove as if tyres were not round but 50p pieces

you had the steering and supension checked.maybe drive shaft, ball joint or even something away at the back tie bar poss,if its uneven wearing tyres, which in turn can twist tyres, jack car up and individually spin wheels.Again if centre free wheels on car(stupid frog cars mostly)not all folk have facilitys to properly balance wheels and tyres.

try replacing / balancing the 4th wheel, whenever i renew tyres i do so in pairs, either front pair or rear pair.
