Hoover Quattro 1300 (Model: WS130)
Following a noisy crash during recent wash there is now a heavy mechanical banging noise from machine during any spin cycle. All other functions are ok. Suspect that some part of drum location/suspension system has failed.
What has gone wrong? Can it be fixed?

I have a hoover 6 washer dryer and this gave serere banging sounds on spin. The shaft bearings were ok but there is an aluminium Y shped spreder that fits over the shaft and meets the stainless drum. this had corroded through on two of the three arms thus causing the problem. If you open the front door and gently lift the inner drum there should be minimum movement. Mine had massive movement at two of the three arms!!
