windscreen wipers keep tangling ?

my windscreen wipers keep getting tangled up and splitting the rubber on the drivers side. have replaced them nearly every 6 months for the last 2 years . any reason as to why this happens

Wrong wiper blades fitted, or wrong fitting kit used.
On some cars the driver and passenger side blades are different lengths and/or are fitted differently, but as you have not bothered to tell us make/year model of car we cannot give further advice.

Wiper arms may have moved on the splines and need resetting.

Linkage might be worn
OR
Blades are incorrect size for vehicle
