How can I fix the freeview in my philips TV 28DW6559-05?

My Philips TV is just over a year old. Every so often when I am on particular freeview channels the screen goes black and green then resets itself back to a different channel. I thought it was something to do with the aerial, but I had this checked?
Can you help?

Hi Shayne. Freeview is the name used for DVB-T in the UK. I'm only guessing here but I reckon that it may take a while to get the TV to you in San Diego and back to the UK however speedy you may be.

I seem to remember that changing channels on it's own is a known fault with this model. Take it back to where you bought and ask them to fix it (they may not be able to) or your money back. It doesn't matter if the warranty has expired because all goods have to be 'of Merchantable Quality'. According to Which, modern TV sets should last AT LEAST five years any less and they are not 'of Merchantable Quality' and you are entitled to your money back - less some cash for the time that you have made use of the merchandise. This is especially true if the fault has been there since new and you have informed the RETAILER. Under English Law, your contract was with the Retailer NOT the manufacturer and so it is the retailer's responsibility to fix your problem.
