Bobbin Holder keeps slipping past stopper on my Janome 6260 Sewing Machine?

Janome 6260 Quilter's Companion Sewing Machine:
The bobbin holder must be inserted into the hook race in such a way that the knob is fitted next to the stopper. Recently the bobbin holder has started to slip past the stopper, so that the knob ends up on the other side. The result is that the machine gets quite noisy and that the bobbin thread comes through the top stitching. I need to stop every few minutes (if it even lasts that long), to open the hook cover plate, push the bobbin holder back again, until the knob is fitted in front of the stopper. Can anybody help me and my machine.

I have had that problem too. It started happening just recently. My machine also started skipping stitches within the last week (I have submitted a separate question about the timing). I had absolutely no problems with the machine the first 2 1/2 years I owned it. I cleaned it myself regularly and used it heavily (4-5 days per week). Then I had it cleaned and "tuned" in fall 2007 at the dealer where I purchased it. I am afraid to take it back to the same dealer, because I think they may have messed it up. (And they charged me a lot of money to do so!)

I'm having the same problem and just called a dealer but don't have an answer yet.
