how do i check on no display, on my whirlpool?

i have whirlpool as127 aqua stream, never been used, but has the main wash control button missing, which i can replace, but i have no display lights at all, and i have checked main fuse, any other areas to look at, any help would be great, many thanks

If the control knob is broken the machine is likely to be set to the off position.So it wont light up
