How can I fix my wipers?

I have a 2001 Vauxhall Vectra. The windscreen wipers have stopped working, I can hear the motor turning when switched on but the nuts do not turn (and hence the wipers do not turn). Any ideas how to fix?

you will have to access the wiper linkage,probably through top bulkhead panel,remove wiper arms and all screws etc and check no ball joints/links have come adrift
