oil leak?

i have a volvo s70 2.4 20v petrol automatic and have a noticed an oil leak behind the front nearside wheel, when the wheel is removed there is oil over the end of the transmission where would it be coming from

could be drive shafts or gearbox, you will need to clean the area to give you a chance of locating leak.
