washing machine fault?

set my indesit iwdc6125 washer/dryer to wash, then program started, drum turned briefly and then heard a little pop and electric tripped out.turned electric back on and machine worked shortly then poped and tripped electric.

sounds like earth fault in motor or heater,do not put it back on again till you get it checked or you will blow some thing,
