when turning on all i get is f1 to f9 keyboard with insert floppy and 2 arrows can anyone help

Broken hard disk or trying to boot from wrong source. Go into BIOS setup and check that it is trying to boot from Hard Disk 1. If that is OK, your hard disk has had it.
