How do I tighten my double glazed windows?

During recent windy weather I noticed my window blinds moving. My friend suggested that I might need the windows tightened as maybe they are not closing properly? Does anyone out there know how to do this?

Hello Mary. The problem seems to be with the hinges. If you get a bank card and slide it in to the back of the windows does the rubber gasket grip the card. If not then the hinges have worn. How old are the windows? The hinges will be top and bottom on a side opening window and left & right on a fanlight window.
To replace these you may have to call upon a double glazing repair company-= but dont get ripped off.

First check rubber seals are in place, these are around edge of sash & frame where the two meet. If you have pvcu on the edge of sash you will have small rollers which move when you turn handle, these rollers are on a cam & you turn center screw a little using alan key, that should tighten the sash.
