hey ive got a x reg clio 1.4 16v and im also having intermittent starting problems its been in the garage on the ecu and there are no faults showing which the garage said the crank sensor would have shown up if there was a fault with it does anyone know if that's correct? im currently using my spare key and immobiliser light is on when go to start ignition i'll be getting a new key from Renault hopefully next week iv also been jump started several times which ive heard if it is the immobiliser it wouldn't jump start, has anyone got any ideas?

has battery been tested/checked and ruled out, is engine earth lead clean and tight, is it charging ok.sounds like battery/charging fault if it needs jump starting.
