Sky digibox: "Telephone Line not connected"?

I cant seem to get any interactive services from my Sky digibox. Its a Thomson Skydgibox DSI 4212. It keeps displaying the error message above. I have checked all the cables whihc are fine and my telephone service provider says that there is no problem with the line This has only occured following a lighting storm ,on the 18 August this year. It seems to have affected the ethernet link on my pc/broadband connection to. Any help available.

If you have had a lightning strike it may have taken out the modem in the Sky box. Sky will cahge you £65 to fix it.

As you don't give much information about your Ethernet and Broadband it's difficult to comment further. Except to say to ensure that all your telephones, including the Sky box, MUST be connected via a microfilter.
