Hotpoint Aquarius model wma31 washing machine has been leaking a bit. I checked all the hoses and connections and eventually I determined it was leaking from the bottom and inside there's a small black hose that I think is the sump pump hose which has a small leak.

So I figure, this will be easy, just get a new hose and replace it. But Hotpoint doesn't want to make life for their customers easy, they want to squeeze more money out of them. They don't sell the hose on it's own and I'll have to buy a full sump pump kit to get the hose for €55. All I need is a hose that should only cost about €3, €12 max but no! What is also frustrating is this seems to be a relatively common problem since the hose gets a lot of wear from the machine vibrating, but Hotpoint won't sell me the hose on it's own.

why dont you just dry it off and use electrical tape to go over it again and again and again and....you get the idea ,this will stop the leak and re-inforce the rubber hose
