how do I fix a leaking washing machine?

my machine leaks when it fills up and less once it starts aggitating, plus the water is soapy when it comes out indicating it is not leaking out the pipes.

Having just looked at my washing machine, with exactly this problem, I have found that TALBERT is dead right - split dispenser hose. Looks to be caused by the placement of a sharp metal piece right next to the hose, almost purposefully placed to cause a leak after just a couple of months of use. Good old Beko WMA767 washing machines (beware!). Just have to find a replacement part now....

IMHO the most likely cause of this leak is the soap dispenser hose which is usually corrigated attached to the bottom of the soap dish leading to the top of the external drum.
To check this. Turn the power off for safety reasons.
Remove the top from the washing machine and inspect the soap dispenser hose. The tell tale signs are wetness and white soap powder deposits and water mark streaks going round the drum starting at the bottom of the soap dispenser hose. The hose often splits around one of the springy type corrigations in the hose.
Hope this helps!
