how to fix Bosch WFK 2401 washer?

Our Bosch WFK 2401 washer makes a sound like marbles in a can near the end of its cycle. It spins & washes fine, but always makes this noise at about the 6 minute remaining mark. Could it be bad bearings in the pump? Can it be repaired by an amateur?
