No water from Hot tap ??

My upstairs bathroom is not producing hot water from the mixer tap in the bathroom, only a very small dribble - as if there is no pressure. The cold is fine along with all the other hot taps in the house. Any idea of the cause - maybe air lock ?? If it is how do I remove ??

Any help on this subject is greatly appreciated.

No hot water from a mixer tap.
Answer. Turn hot and cold water off. Take the head off the tap, either unscrew or ease of with a knife. Unscrew the cross head screw in the end of the tap, unscrew the tap fitting around the barrel. Use an adjustable spanner on the barrel turning anticlockwise and remove the barrel. You will find when you turn the the tap on and off the end does not move as it should. Take the end clip off and unscrew the washers from the rest of the barrel, clean the dirt out and reasmble the barrel. Try turning the end of and on again the washers should move up and down. Reasemble the tap in reverse order, and turn water back on.
