Potterton, netaheat, Profile 80E?

Just moved into a house with this boiler in situ. Potterton, netaheat, profile 80E......Have not had it working yet, could someone tell me what type of boiler it is , and if its an ok boiler ? it looks around 8 years old, Got no paperwork with it.....Thanks. Tony.H

It sounds like the early Profile design which was sold with the Netaheat name on it.

Its probably early 1990s so quite old.

Its a cast iron heat exchanger, very reliable but not very efficient.

Because they dont have a permanent pilot light they are not as expensive to run as many older boilers.

Yes a good boiler dont get talked into buying new its worth repairing unless and unlighty the heat exchanger is U S
