how can i fix my oil leak?

oil leak from the drain plug hole when plug is tightend to correct torque on my volkwagon boro

I always use Hylomar Universal Blue to seal any threads such as sump plugs. Never have any leaks using that.

In your case it sounds as if the thread as become distorted. I'd use a brand new sump plug, a new sealing washer, and Hylomar Universal Blue on the thread to seal the threaded joint.

Don't be tempted to over-tighten it.

if it has a sealing washer on it you need to replace it.clean off around sump plug and make sure that the threaded boss on sump isn't fractured where it is welded to sump.sometimes sumps leak from the spot welds that affix baffles to sump internally,check also for this.and they also corrode with age!
