How do I replace the temperature sensor on a Baumatic BDI652?

Our BDI652 dishwasher has an E3 error code. We have replaced the heating element but the problem is not resolved. We now have a new temperature sensor to fit. Our problem is that we can't find the old one in the machine to replace it! Please help if you can. Thanks
