how can i fix my ford fiesta lx?

i have a ford fiesta lx .i turned the engine over and the wiper on the boot door came on and wont turn off.

inside the rear tailgate there a plastic plate with brass connecters in it it sometimes melts as the plates and the pins are not clean.if you take the piece out and disconect the wire, one is live all the time for boot light they may melt together.tape the wire as it will be live
