it will not play dvd's when you put a dvd in unit it tries to load & read it then it say;s 'no disc i have tried to reset as instructed at back of manual but still won't work any suggestion's please !!!! could it be the laser & if so are these expensive to replace?

Could try a cleaning disk, most PC shops will have them as well as the well know high street electrical shops etc
