Tried previous resolution for Golf1.4 75s service light but doesn't work on my 2001 , 1.6 mark 4 Golf

If the car is on "long life service" it can only be reset with the correct diagnostic equipment.
If it's on a "fixed service interval" then as follows:-

1) Press and hold in the button by the speedo
2) Ignition "ON" (not start)
3) "Service" shown in display
4) Release the button
5) Turn button by the "Rev counter" to the RIGHT to reset display
6) Ignition OFF
