I have been trying to transfer some videos from my camcorder to my pc so that I can burn them onto dvd's. The camcorder is a Samsung vp-w80u and I have been using a video capture device callec "Easycap", but when I try to transfer, the pc switches off. Can someone please tell me where I'm going wrong?

Hi I have loads of tapes recorded but my camcorder has been broken for years as a tape was pushed into it the wrong way. Im trying to find somewhere where i can repair the camera ?

I gave up using the video camera to the PC, I bought a DVD Recorder with an hard disk and recorded film onto the hardisk the edited out what I did not want and then transferred it onto a DVD disk. The DVD recorder also has freeview so you can record all the fils you want
