How can I fix my GE Spacemaker CD Stereo?

How can I fix my GE Spacemaker CD Stereo? There is a CD in the tray and it will play, but when I hit the open/close button, the CD door won't open.

try opining it up and checking the belt and if ti on too tight it will strain the moter out and if it losse it wont cach and open
