my door lock button keeps flashing when closed?

can any1 help me please,my door lock button keeps flashin even when my door is closed on my whirlpool 6th sense awo 10761,it wont do any thing but reset and drain.

May be a faulty door lock but can also be caused by worn carbon brushes on the motor. Check them first.
